As long as I can remember, I have been a lover of all things that have a past. I have a passion for Saturday morning yard sales, church rummage sales and thrift stores.
It all began when I was 15 years old, looking for some funky finds for my bedroom. My mother – a teacher and part time house painter – encouraged me to experiment with style.
I have come a long ways from rattan hanging chairs… but my love of ‘all things old’ has never changed.
Being born into a family with English and French roots has also resulted in a love of fine linens and china. It is exciting for me to discover the history of a particular pattern of china or a certain lace found on a dinner napkin.
I also love old furniture. Most of all, I love the ‘thrill of the hunt’ for that one piece that stands out and speaks to me.
Beyond being a savvy vintage collector, restorer and reseller, I am also a retailer of Country Chic Paint. This line of paint has given me endless pleasure restoring furniture because it is a chalk and mineral mixed paint that requires little to no prep for each piece. I love it so much that I have started holding workshops for individuals who want to take a piece from ‘shabby to chic’.
Like many women, I wear many hats. I am a mom to five kids (ages 12-28), two dogs and a cat. My husband would like a bird too but I have to draw the line somewhere!!!
