Emma Gets Married

As you may know I love weddings. When you combine wedding and vintage….well, it is pure heaven!! I had the good fortune of attending a wedding this weekend and I just love what the bride did to make the day so special.

The couple built these sweet signs so that guests knew where to go on the property! Love it! They were made of wood letters on driftwood.

Emma thought that the service should be on rustic looking paper attached to fat popsicle stick. The purple ribbon is the same colour as her bridesmaids dresses!

seating plan

Emma took an old wooden ladder and repurposed it with white chalk paint, distressed it then tied the seating plan to the ladder! This sat just outside the tent so guests could see what table they would be sitting!

Emma and Troy were married under a trellis that he built with his dad. They decorated it with white draping and sunflowers, there was a beautiful river in the background. Do you see me???

Table CentrepiecesEmma painted wooden frames, took burlap and stenciled the table numbers. The use of mason jars was pretty. Everyone had their own mason jar for drinks, mason jars held candles and flowers. Sunflowers were the fleur de jour!

I was married the first time, a long time ago, my second marriage took place five years ago and I can tell you didn’t incorporate this kind of creativity! Are you getting married? If so, what are your ideas for decorating?
